About Elizabeth Solich
Elizabeth was born far from the sea, in a small town in the central-east European mountains. She remembers as a child the the feeling of anticipation and excitement on the 8 hour drive to reach the Baltic sea. As soon as the car was parked she rushed through the dunes and into the ocean. Now living in Australia and meeting Paul, her love of the ocean was rekindled. Her first experience was while snorkeling at Whyalla, where she fell in love with the cuttlefish. Not long after, she learned how to dive, and has continued to dive regularly in South Australian at local dive sites like Edithburgh, Rapid Bay and Port Noarlunga. As soon as she felt comfortable under water, Elizabeth commenced underwater photography capturing the South Australian marine life. Born with the desire to explore the world’s most remote destinations, Elizabeth has dived in many overseas locations and continues her admiration of marine life as a silent reporter, telling her stories through the lens of her camera and her visual art on land.
